It is the year 2008 and we, the observing community of the world, perceive a great problem: the overpopulation of this planet. Unfortunately, we cannot celebrate this evolutionary stage where the bulk of humanity no longer has to starve and die at an early age, for the end of natural selection can be a greater tragedy for all living beings than the barbarism of the past. Anyone who can count past 6 billion knows that the human population if let alone will continue to grow and multiply. We may be able to sustain 9 billion, but what comes after that? And the risk of self-righteous madmen terrorizing society increases. Furthermore, the selfish inclination that one must carry on his lineage is a ridiculous and outdated notion.

 

Historically, the rationale for having children had been that one could guarantee one’s existence this way, at a time when one would be too old to take care of himself. Due to the creation of a pension system, real wealth, advanced robotic technologies, it is possible for man to live ever longer without familial aid. Thus, individuals must decide to either follow traditional thinking or to invest in one’s own life.

 

Great wars or famines have not been able to contain the expanding human race, nor engineered viruses, forced sterilization, or forced abortions; even the rather insidious opinion engineering through the media, which advocates unhealthy weight ideals, causing disordered eating habits and anorexia, has failed to radically reduce population growth. All in all, the attempt to coercively suffocate humanity has failed.

 

These practices to coercively control population growth is painful and with great risk. It is time; however, for mankind to voluntarily abort the idea of mating. It is time for humanity to rethink and evolve out of familial traditions and to embrace the new century as a new human being. Just masturbate and we shall all be happy.
